Faculty of Applied Sciences
The Faculty of Applied Sciences offer courses focused on the practical applications of science in answering the problems of the world. It offers a range of courses that focus on teaching its students the proper research methods and also encourage students to trade information with their peers and teachers.
Bristol Business School
The Bristol Business School (BBS) is one of UK's leading schools of business and accounting. It currently has a student population of 3,000 and a staff of 150. It received a rating of 'Excellent' from the Higher Education Council of England in the year 2000.
Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences
The Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences has a number of state-of-the-art facilities such as flight simulators that help its students to gain an edge in their field of knowledge. Each of its courses has special labs and facilities that its students can use.
Hartpury College (Associate Faculty)
Hartpury College offers a number of land and sports based courses to its students. Each course aims to develop the communication skills of its students and give them the confidence they need when looking for a job.
Faculty of Humanities, Languages, and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities, Languages, and Social Sciences is the youngest faculty in the university. It is a combination of the former Faculties of Economics and Social Sciences; Languages and European Studies and Humanities. The combination of these three faculties into one has made this faculty the largest centre of higher education in western England.
Bristol School of Art, Media, and Design
The Bristol School of Art, Media, and Design has 1,600 students and 80 full-time staff. It has its own campus situated in Bower, Ashton. Students have access to all its facilities, which are run by an experienced staff.
Faculty of Built Environment
The Faculty of Built Environment is one of the largest institutions that offer courses that focus on the environment. It boasts 2200 students and a staff of 200.
Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education aims to provide high quality learning and teaching methods to its students. It offers various degree courses such as early childhood education to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Faculty of Health and Social Care
The Faculty of Health and Social Care was established in 1996 when the former Swindon College of Health Studies upon Avon and Gloucestershire College of Health joined in with the university's then Faculty of Health and Community Studies.
Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law is composed of two faculties, the School of Law and the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice.
